"Earth Ranger of the Year" Contest
Calling all animal saving heroes!
Kind News ™ and Earth Rangers are working together to help young people take action for wildlife and their habitats. Complete an Earth Rangers mission and have a parent or guardian tell us about it by May 15, and you’ll receive a digital animal adoption and be entered to win!
Prizes Include:
- a feature in the March/April 2025 issue of Kind News*!
- a $100 gift card for Earth Rangers wildlife merch
- an Earth Rangers t-shirt
- a home or class subscription to Kind News

3. Complete one of the Earth Rangers Missions to help wildlife.
4. Have a parent or caregiver complete and submit this form once a mission is completed.

Official Contest Rules & Regulations
The following constitutes the Official Rules and Regulations for the Kind News “Earth Ranger of the Year” Contest brought to you by RedRover, here on known as the “Contest.”
These rules govern the operation of the Contest beginning on March 15, 2024 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time and ending on May 15, 2024 at 5 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. To be eligible, you must enter the contest in exact accordance with these rules.
- To enter, a parent or legal guardian age 18 or older must complete the online nomination form. Contact information must be complete on the form. Email address and other entry information will never be rented, given or sold to any third party or entity.
- All entries become the sole property of RedRover. Entries may be featured as examples of kindness even if the entry is not chosen as the winner.
- The Contest is open in the United States of America to children ages 5-13 years old.
- Employees of RedRover, sponsors, and their immediate families may not enter and are not eligible to win.
- Winners: A first place winner will be chosen and awarded The Kind News “Earth Ranger of the Year” Award for 2024.
The Kind News Earth Ranger of the Year winner will win:
- a $100 gift card to the Earth Rangers Shop
- a school-year’s subscription to Kind News magazine
- appearance of name, photograph, and detail about Earth Rangers project completion in the March/April 2025 issue
- an Earth Rangers T-shirt
Winner will be notified by email. Parent or guardian photo submissions are required for child’s name and/or image to appear in Kind News magazine.
- Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Winners will be notified by May 29, 2024.
- Entries must be submitted online. A parent or legal guardian 18 or older must complete the nomination form.
- Nominations will be judged separately. The judges are especially looking for evidence of passion and motivation to help wildlife and the environment, but every entry submitted will be considered.
- Stories, photos, and videos submitted in the nomination form at the time of entry become the property of RedRover and may be shared with Earth Rangers.
- To qualify, the nominee must be a member of Earth Rangers and have completed and successfully submitted evidence of a Mission through the Earth Rangers app.
- By participating in this contest you hereby forever and unconditionally release and hold harmless RedRover, their respective officers, directors, employees, and representatives from any and all liability or claims for damages or potential damages caused by or allegedly caused by or related in any way whatsoever to the receipt of any prizes awarded including travel.
- You hereby specifically agree to forever release and hold harmless RedRover, their respective officers, directors, employees, and representatives against any and all liability, claims, demands, damages and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising directly or indirectly out of the operation of any part of this Contest.
