There are two main ways you can support Kind News:

You can donate to the Kind News general fund.

You can give Kind News to specific classrooms.

Any individual can nominate a teacher (including themselves!), humane educator, youth group leader, after-school program leader, or other educational group leader to receive Kind News. Visit KindNews.org/nominate to add your name, or that of another person, to our Nominate-an-Educator list.

Kind News™ magazine is a publication that inspires kids to be kind to animals and people. 

The magazine uses engaging articles to emphasize issues affecting animals and provide tips for understanding animal behavior and caring for pets. Its appealing design and interactive content help enhance children’s enjoyment of reading.

Kind News is aligned with national teaching standards and can be easily integrated into school curriculum. 

Generous sponsors either donate to our Kind News general fund which supports educators who have been nominated on our Nominate an Educator form to receive the publication, or generous sponsors donate to support specific classrooms, youth groups, after-school programs, or summer camps. RedRover mails out hard copies of the magazine five times a year and sends a digital copy of the magazine to all of the recipients we have an email address for.

Visit KindNews.org/download and fill out a quick form. The link to the digital version of our current issue of the magazine will be sent to you through email.

Your designated classroom or other recipient, such as a library or after-school club, receives a bundle of one reading version, arriving every two months five times during the school year.

Sponsorship benefits for 2026: 

• Sponsors who provide a list of classrooms/ groyps to RedRover will have their name printed on the outside of each magazine set delivered to their recipient(s).
• Sponsoring 100 or more classrooms? We will add your logo or name to the teacher guides that go out with every issue, as well as our homepage at KindNews.org. Please contact KindNews@RedRover.org for more information.

Yes! If you begin sponsoring a recipient after the school year begins, the magazine issues will be carried over into the next school year. Please visit KindNews.org/schedules for issue deadlines.

A bundle of one level (28 copies and a teacher’s guide) of each issue of Kind News, which arrives every two months five times throughout the school year beginning with the September/October issue. When recipients provide their email addresses, they will automatically receive the digital version of the magazine in addition to the print with each issue.

Kind News is consistently praised by educators as an excellent supplementary resource that requires little or no prep. Most educators need a few minutes to a maximum of an hour to incorporate the magazine into their lessons.

Kind News is aligned with national education standards and can be integrated smoothly into subjects like math, science and language arts. The teacher’s guide included with each issue of the magazine contains suggested standard-aligned activities that can easily be expanded or adapted to meet the needs of your classroom.

The magazine is available in two versions: Kind News™, Jr., geared towards grades K-2, and Kind News™, geared towards grades 3-6.

Kind News is sent out every two months September through May. Please refer to this page for updated sponsorship deadlines and delivery schedules.

If you have not received your Kind News print issue by the last day of the posted delivery date range, please contact us at KindNews@RedRover.org. We are so sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. Delivery dates may vary slightly depending on your location relative to our distribution hub.

We are not able to customize the number of issues each recipient receives. If your recipient needs more copies, you will need to sponsor another set of magazines for them. Some recipients share extras with another teacher or school librarian.

RedRover will furnish replacement issues when there is a shipping or printing error, but we reserve the right to deny replacement requests if requests have exceeded a reasonable number within the year(s).

Please keep in mind that we are not responsible for damage to magazines from the weather. In all cases, we will work with our recipients to provide the highest level of care.
