Mexican families. It is a
holiday called Day of
the Dead (“Día de Muertos” in
Spanish). People believe that on
the Day of the Dead, spirits can
come back to the land of the
living. Friends and family make
special tables called altars. They
place photos of their loved ones
on them. A hairless dog breed
called the xoloitzcuintli (show-
low-eats-QUEENT-lee) guides THIS SPREAD: REDROVER
