Another famous gift-giver is the
gentoo penguin of Antarctica.
They are fast swimmers with
bright red-orange beaks. The
gentoo gives special rocks.
Usually, one male penguin will
find a smooth, shiny rock. He
brings it to a penguin he likes.
She may place it as the first rock
in their nest. Snow and ice melt
through the rocks.
