Critter Clues

I have amazing hearing. I can hear quiet sounds from 40 yards away!

When I hunt for food and when I sleep, I stay solitary, or by myself, instead of in a pack.

I have a keen sense of smell—I can even smell food that is underground!

My babies are called “pups” or “kits.”

When I hunt, I hunt like a cat and pounce on my prey.

I run very fast—up to 30 miles per hour!

Since I am nocturnal, I am most active at nighttime.

I am often playful with others of my kind, and sometimes even with different animals!
