human makes the most sense for you. At the end

KN: What goes into creating a board game?
AL: I have to make sure the math works out and
the rules are fair to all players. You have to think
about what the players are going to go through
when they open the box and read the instructions.
There is a ton of writing involved and practicing
with test materials like index cards and pennies.
You have to make it interesting and bring chance,
decisions, and luck into it.
KN: What does it take to be successful?
AL: Fail early and fail often, because the more
ways you figure out that something doesn’t work,
the quicker you’ll find the way that’s right. You
have to say, “This is something I’m going to puzzle
out and I’ll get to the end.” And it takes a certain
amount of bravery to bring something you created
out into the world. A dog inspired

Do You Have an Idea for a Pet Business?
What problems in the world do you think need
solving? What problem does someone in your
family or community have that involves animals?
Interview a family member or someone in the
community, like an animal shelter worker, and ask
them about problems or challenges they face
involving the animals they care about. Once you
learn as much as you can about a problem, see if
you can think of solutions to solve it. Could any of
these solutions become a business? If so, maybe
you have a future as an entrepreneur!
